The Squash Federation of Ukraine will provide funds raised from charitable contributions for the benefit of the trip of the Ukrainian national team, which will go to the 2023 European Championship

After almost two months of fundraising, thanks to squash fans, fans of the Ukrainian national team and contributions from associated members, we managed to accumulate UAH 70,710. So, we officially close the collection on this amount and are ready to transfer it to the national team's targeted needs.

First of all, the Squash Federation of Ukraine wishes to express its gratitude to all those who participated and responded to the fundraising. Thank you for your involvement and dedication to the sports front. Thanks to you, the Ukrainian flag should fly high on the slopes of Europe, because we have the best people and the best athletes.

Apparently, the Ukrainian national squash team will not take part in this year's competitions in full due to lack of funds. The Squash Federation of Ukraine is forced to limit the number of trips to competitions due to the fact that a general sponsor was not found.

At the meeting of the federation, it was decided to transfer the collected funds to the national team, whose team members will be able to cover the costs of the trip with the help of involved sponsors and/or their own funds.

"It is difficult to imagine the European court of the last twelve years without yellow and blue. However, this year at least one team of squash players has every chance to get to the European Championship," says CEO Darya Revutska.

Last season, our juniors proved that they are one of the strongest in Europe: at the 2022 European Team Championship among juniors under the age of 17, our squash players won prizes. In addition, the national men's team left the 3rd division and had to fight for the right to remain among the elite.

The cost of the trip of five teams of 30 people (flights, accommodation, contributions, etc.) is 50,000 euros.

Calendar of European Squash Championships 2023:

April 01-09 - European team championship among juniors under 19 years old.

April 12-15 - European women's team championship 3rd division.

April 26-29 - men's European team championship 2nd division.

May 11-14 - European team championship among juniors under 15 and under 17 years old.
